DETAILED DESCRIPTION:

The B173MKII is a classic British 1073-style microphone/instrument preamplifier. The chassis has been redesigned and features front-panel input and output controls for maximum sonic control. Front-mounted HI-Z inputs are accompanied by a power switch with indicator light, as well as phantom power and phase reversal buttons. At the heart of the B173MKII are two Cinemag transformers that maximize the quality of the input and output gain staging. The new B173MKII borrows its new circuit design from Black Lion Audio's B173 Quad preamplifier, further reducing its already low noise floor. The rear panel houses the microphone input, balanced TRS output, ground, and external power supply socket.
