BlueDMX Wireless DMX
Opis
BlueDMX - one device, many solutions
-
Transmitter or receiver .
The device can operate as a receiver and, after switching modes, as a transmitter. In transmitter mode, the use of an XLR to MM adapter is recommended.
-
Own Wi-Fi network or connection to a router
Each transmitter can generate its own Wi-Fi network to which the receivers connect, or with a more advanced setup, the transmitter and receivers can connect to a Wi-Fi router.
-
Art-Net to DMX signal converter
The Blue DMX can be used as an Art-Net to DMX converter. When switched to transmitter mode, it can send packets in the reverse DMX to Art-Net direction.
Quick installation
One transmitter – 8 receivers
BlueDMX allows for quick installation without unnecessary device configuration. Simply switch one device to transmitter mode with a button and set the same channel on all devices. Built-in LEDs indicate the device's operating status. The transmitter LED indicates the transmitter/receiver operating mode, while the DMX LED indicates the selected channel and correct transmission. Up to eight receivers can be connected to a single transmitter.
Extended range
with a Wi-Fi router
The range of devices can be further increased by using a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi router between them. The transmitter then transmits the signal to the router, which then transmits the signal to all receivers. For a larger installation, multiple routers can be used, as can LAN cable connections.
This special mode is available on the last channel and requires additional network configuration in the devices so they can connect to the router's Wi-Fi network.
Node Art-Net
Art-Net → DMX converter
BlueDMX can be used as an Art-Net→DMX converter. This solution allows for wireless connection of an Art-Net controller/app to DMX devices. There is no limit to the number of receivers in this connection; their number depends on the Art-Net controller and the Wi-Fi connection.
BlueDMX supports Art-Net version 4 and is backward compatible with earlier protocol versions.
DMX Converter → Art-Net
By switching BlueDMX to transmitter mode, the signal from a standard controller can be converted to an Art-Net signal and sent to another Art-Net controller. This allows you to control the heads and simultaneously change programs in the Art-Net application that controls the LED installation.
Configuration
Settings can be changed from any Wi-Fi device (e.g., smartphone, laptop). By pressing the MODE button for 3 seconds, BlueDMX will generate a Wi-Fi network and a website with a configuration panel. After connecting to this network and entering the website address 2.2.2.2 in the browser's address bar, the configuration panel will appear.
Power supply
The BlueDMX can be powered by a standard 1A/5V microUSB charger. This can be found in the related offer for 10 PLN.
Security
For wireless communication, BlueDMX uses a Wi-Fi network – the IEE 802.11 g/n standard. This means that signal transmission is encrypted, and network access is password-protected.
Thanks to advanced modulation techniques: BPSK, QPSK, OFDM, and error-checking mechanisms, only valid packets reach the receiver, even in areas with high levels of interference.
If the connection is lost, the receiver remembers the last state and maintains DMX transmission so that DMX devices do not switch to stand-alone mode.
Additionally, for increased security, users can change the network name and password on all devices to prevent another BlueDMX user from interfering with their set.
Solid construction
The BlueDMX has an all-metal housing that protects it from mechanical damage. The power connector is positioned so as not to interfere with other XLR connectors.
