FAVO TM15 Stage Monitor/Satellite

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The FAVO TM15 is a full-range stage monitor with dual operating angles and passive/active* modes. It employs a modern coaxial speaker with a neodymium magnet and 3" voice coils for both sources, as well as an external HF horn with controlled directivity.

The TM15 is a compact, low-profile monitor capable of operating in passive mode while maintaining exceptional sound quality. It also supports active (BiAmp) operation, controlled by two DSP-powered power amplifier channels. Modes are switched via a built-in switch hidden under the handle*.

Coaxial driver – ensures directivity and the best possible coherence at various listening positions, which translates into improved sound quality. Both sources (woofers and tweeters) share a common magnet, allowing them to be placed as close as possible to each other, creating a coherent point source.

The enclosure is constructed of appropriately hard birch plywood, reinforced to eliminate harmful resonances. A floor-facing bass reflex port ensures improved audibility of the lowest frequencies.

The tripod socket with a fixed angle of +/- 13.5° (in 4.5° steps) ensures optimal coverage of the sound area in satellite mode.

Laminar Bass-Reflex Port - The necessary calculations and simulations were performed for the tuning and design of the bass-reflex ports. These, by optimally utilizing the energy radiated by the rear of the speaker diaphragm, not only allowed for a lower frequency response and greater low-frequency efficiency, but also allowed for the appropriate shape of the bass-reflex port outlet to maintain laminar airflow . This design largely eliminates turbulence and distortion, allowing the TM15 stage monitors to deliver crystal-clear sound, free from the typical drawbacks of standard bass-reflex designs (low-frequency distortion, whirring, etc.).
